The Opportunity

The Plant Manager is responsible for the direct coordination and management of production and support activities in all plant Production, Sanitation, Maintenance, Scheduling, Shipping, Receiving, and DC Departments. Responsible for achieving plant and corporate objectives with the safety of people and quality of product at the forefront. Leads by example in fostering a team oriented and learning environment to develop future leaders.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a safe environment for people while producing a quality product.
  • Achieve budget volumes in terms of managing yields/cost, labor variance, packaging scrap and other costs.
  • Provide leadership and direction for direct staff and those reporting indirectly.
  • Align all support and production objectives to build a one-team approach for shared success measures.
  • Ensure current and future talent needs identifying development opportunities and encouraging both management and hourly employees to pursue further training and self-improvement.
  • Keep informed of governmental regulations and technological developments by reading, attending seminars and trade shows.
  • Participate in long term planning for process and capacity improvement.
  • Assure implementation of food safety programs in the plant and help to determine priorities for food safety activity in cooperation with the Food Safety team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA highly preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years experience, with 5 years’ in Operation or Plant Management in the Food Industry.
  • Successful accomplishment in developing future leaders through relationship building, empowerment and engagement of employees and open feedback.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient and knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite, ERP and other related applications and systems.

Packaging Supervisor

Summary

The Packaging Supervisor is responsible for production on his/her assigned lines responsible and accountable for ensuring quality and production processes are being performed per defined standards. Supervises associates through effective leadership including coaching, developing, motivating, and supporting a team oriented environment. Leads efforts to maintain 5S standards in all areas of operation championing continuous improvement efforts. Ensures compliance with all laws and regulations related to safety, OSHA and USDA. Hours: Monday – Thursday, 3:30pm-2am.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years of food processing related industry experience.
  • Familiar with food safety, food handling, GMP and plant safety guidelines.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office software; experience with computer report generation and general computer database usage.
  • Work extended days and/or weekends with flexibility to switch shifts as required.
  • Ability to motivate people, specifically mentoring and coaching individuals to meet goals of the production area.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at one time.

Corporate Industrial Engineer (Illinois or Arkansas)

The Opportunity 

The Corporate Industrial Engineer develops and leads projects across supply chain to increase productivity, maximize efficiency, reduce waste, and drive down product costs wherever possible.  Ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and project management skills, is a self-starter, and has a strong background in IE, Plant Engineering/Operations, and IE/Productivity Engineering including Continuous Improvement, Lean, and Six Sigma tools.  Position location Searcy, AR or Lansing, IL. 

Responsibilities

  • Act as Corporate Industrial Engineer resource for establishing work measurement programs, conducting motion studies, and recommending methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities.
  • Act as Project Manager on plant or corporate initiatives, focusing on cost reduction projects.
  • Support Marketing and R&D on new product development projects as assigned.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science related discipline.
  • Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in Meat Plant Operations/Engineering.
  • Preferred 3 years minimum experiences in Continuous Improvement/Industrial Engineering role.
  • Experience in time measurement techniques.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other analytical software.

Maintenance Technician

Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance repairs to processing and packaging equipment.

Qualifications

  • Electrical troubleshooting experience required.
  • Ability to interpret electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics required.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and related data required.
  • Ammonia Refrigeration experience preferred.
  • Tig welding/fabricating experience preferred.
  • Job-related experience in boiler and plumbing applications preferred.
