The Opportunity

The 3rd Shift Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for directing all activities associated with the sanitation operation to include coaching and working closely with staff, partnering with interdisciplinary teams such as Maintenance, Production, Quality and Food Safety, and working with other Land O’Frost plant facilities to determine Best Practices procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to Sanitation employees in coaching and developing to promote future leaders.
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory of plant sanitation and laundry supplies.
  • Oversee the housekeeping activities of the plant lunch areas, restrooms and office areas.
  • Works with Maintenance to schedule and complete the required cooking schedules of equipment.
  • Provide training and assistance to 1st and 2nd shift sanitation personnel.
  • Shares goals with Production and Maintenance departments to ensure plant key initiatives and measures are achieved.

Qualifications

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Five years’ experience in operations or plant sanitation activities with a minimum of two years in a supervisory role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to pay close attention to details.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Passion to learn and grow professionally.

Technical Support Specialist

The Opportunity

The Technical Support Specialist will provide support and maintain in-house computer systems, desktops, and peripherals within a plant environment setting.  This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance.  With a high level of customer service focus, you will respond to work requests via phone and in-person throughout the manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities

  • Support, install, configure, test and troubleshoot end user workstations, servers, networks, printers and applications. This includes devices used for shop floor data collection in the plant.
  • Evaluate, prioritize and respond to service requests with a resolution.
  • Perform analysis and diagnosis of routine PC problems for end users, and recommend and implement solutions.
  • Perform PC, hardware and peripheral equipment improvements, upgrades and repairs.
  • Perform and test routine system backups and restores.
  • Support application development.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with company goals and industry best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • At least (2) years of experience in a Help Desk environment with exposure to network administration and server management functions; preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including; Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with local-area networks and their integration with various desktop software systems including Windows operations systems.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve common hardware/software problems.

Corporate Industrial Engineer (Illinois or Arkansas)

The Opportunity 

The Corporate Industrial Engineer develops and leads projects across supply chain to increase productivity, maximize efficiency, reduce waste, and drive down product costs wherever possible.  Ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and project management skills, is a self-starter, and has a strong background in IE, Plant Engineering/Operations, and IE/Productivity Engineering including Continuous Improvement, Lean, and Six Sigma tools.  Position location Searcy, AR or Lansing, IL. 

Responsibilities

  • Act as Corporate Industrial Engineer resource for establishing work measurement programs, conducting motion studies, and recommending methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities.
  • Act as Project Manager on plant or corporate initiatives, focusing on cost reduction projects.
  • Support Marketing and R&D on new product development projects as assigned.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science related discipline.
  • Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in Meat Plant Operations/Engineering.
  • Preferred 3 years minimum experiences in Continuous Improvement/Industrial Engineering role.
  • Experience in time measurement techniques.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other analytical software.

Cost Accountant

The Cost Accountant is responsible for preparing and validating our plant’s monthly financial reporting, analyzing, identifying and resolving discrepancies.  This position requires an individual to have a strong skill set in the following areas; attention to detail, analytical, highly organized self-starter with the ability to multi-task and have excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the completion of plant’s monthly financial reporting.
  • Responsible for the completion of plant’s monthly management reporting.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining a strong working relationship with plant manufacturing department leaders and staff.
  • Analyze changes in products, raw materials, and manufacturing processes to determine effects on cost.
  • Identify and recommend areas for continuous and process improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other database systems.
  • Some travel required.

Maintenance Technician

Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance repairs to processing and packaging equipment.

Qualifications

  • Electrical troubleshooting experience required.
  • Ability to interpret electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics required.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and related data required.
  • Ammonia Refrigeration experience preferred.
  • Tig welding/fabricating experience preferred.
  • Job-related experience in boiler and plumbing applications preferred.
