Old Fashioned Natural Casing Hot Dogs

  • 4 Ambassador, Wimmers or Fairbury Hot Dogs
  • 4 buns, toasted
  • 2 cups prepared mac and cheese
  • 6-8 strips bacon
  • 1/2 cup shreddeed cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup green onions or chives (optional)
  • Butter (for toasting buns)
Instructions
  1. Cook bacon until crispy, then crumble.
  2. Prepare mac and cheese; keep it thick and creamy.
  3. Cook hot dogs (grill or pan-fry) Lightly toast buns with butter.
  4. Assemble: bun, hot dog, mac and cheese, shredded cheese, bacon, green onions.
  5. Serve Immediately
