Sales Leadership & Execution

  • Optimizes customer sales performance and profitable volume growth via distribution, new product platforms, trade promotion optimization using all available tools for each customer (Trade, Marketing, Digital, IFR, etc.)
  • New business development and pioneering: Identify new opportunities at accounts and develop strategies to maximize
  • Flawless execution of approved customer business plans at customer HQ level
  • Customization and delivery of presentations to customers, using customer-specific data
  • Establish and maximize relationships with brokers that drive channel expertise and results
  • Leverage LOF insights and consumer expertise to establish LOF as a strategic advisor with key retailers

Sales Strategy & Planning

  • Creator of customer specific annualized trade & marketing channel specific strategies that allow LOF to compete at a high level in Alternate Channels
  • Ensures use of all LOF Sales and marketing tools are fully executed and specific to each channel and customer
  • Utilizes internal relationships to influence sales strategy and course corrective measures necessary to deliver budgeted goals
  • Capable of developing strategy and tactics by customer based on that customers strategy to drive distribution and merchandising
  • Proficient in business knowledge & customer base to identify opportunities & solidify partnerships at Buyer’s level and above. (create strategic relationships)
  • Profitable channel specific item development in collaboration with

Sales Administration

  • Manage, update, and course correct promotional programs via PX tools & broker support. (Broker enters data–volume and trade spend / LOF approves)
  • Delivery of forecast accuracy targets
  • Timely delivery of required reporting via scorecard
  • Timely & accurate expense management
  • Deduction management
  • Management of product issues at customer level (withdrawal/ quality issues, etc.) as needed
  • HQ driven initiatives & requirements
  • Development and administration of broker scorecard

Qualifications

Experience 5+ years of prior industry related business development experience

Prior sales experience with Costco required, and with Trader Joe’s preferred

Education Bachelor’s degree preferred
Certifications
Knowledge Nielsen and/or IRI CPG data analysis and system utilization
Travel Local and or overnight travel is required this percentage of time 50%
