How YOU will contribute
- Partner with plant management teams to facilitate process improvements to meet plant and department metrics, including, but not limited to, Cost of Quality.
- Establish and leverage the internal audit system to verify compliance with SQF programs, MOPs, SOPs, etc.
- Coach employees to interact effectively with operations and other departments to complete departmental work.
- Facilitate employee training to ensure employees in all functions understand how quality impacts the internal and external customer, and how their role affects product quality.
- Identify and manage product threats, including mitigation of threats through root cause analysis and process improvements.
About YOU
- Bachelor’s degree in Meat Science, Animal Science, Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Management required.
- Quality Management experience within a meat processing environment required.
- Technical knowledge of Quality principles, food safety, meat science, and regulatory requirements.
- SQF/BRC experience preferred.
- Project management skills – Capable of working on and managing multiple high priority projects.
- Demonstrated understanding of process control methods and the application of preventative practices.
