This classic Italian appetizer only gets better when you add ham, but the real secret is rubbing the sliced bread with a fresh garlic clove before you bake it. It’s a small detail that adds big, authentic flavor. Though if you’re tight on time, you can just as easily substitute bruschetta toasts from the store. Either way, this appetizer recipe is always a hit with guests.
 

Ingredients

  • 10 slices Premium Natural Hickory Smoked Ham
  • 5 plum tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons garlic
  • 2 tablespoons red onion
  • ¼ cup Parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Pepper
  • 2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • French bread
  • 1 garlic clove

Instructions

  1. Dice ham and tomatoes
  2. Mince onion and garlic
  3. Chop parsley
  4. Combine all ingredients in a bowl
  5. Season with pepper
  6. Add salt and olive oil
  7. Slice French bread
  8. Brush with oil and rub with garlic clove and season with black pepper
  9. Bake bread at 350°F for 7-10 minutes
  10. Top bread with Bruschetta mixture and season again with black pepper
  11. Serve and enjoy!
